Art

K-3: Hibler
  • Kinder students will learn about Matisse and identify the color scheme warm vs cool.
  • 1st grade will create Georgia O'Keefe's poppy with watercolor crayon.
  • 2nd grade will review portraiture and draw a figure. 
  • 3rd grade will be introduced to pointillism.
3-6: Carlson
  • 3rd grade will continue their orange branch watercolor painting
  • 4th grade will continue thier tomato still life
  • 5th grade will continue their Monet oil pastel project
  • 6th grade will continue their Abstract Expressionist collage

Music

K-2: Abrego
  • Kindergarten: The students will reflect on their concert performance. The students will reflect on their concert performance.
  • 1st grade: The students will reflect on their concert performance. The students will prepare to internalize a sound that lasts two beats. The students will practice reading and writing rhythms containing a half-note.
  • 2nd grade: The students will reflect on their concert performances. The students will learn about the instruments in the orchestra.

3-6: Andersen
  • 3rd grade: Students will reflect on their concert performance. Students will label folk songs with so, la, and mi.
  • 4th grade: Students will reflect on their concert performance. Students will practice ringing chimes.
  • 5th grade: Students will reflect on their concert performance. Students will begin learning "Minstrel Boy."
  • 6th grade: Students will reflect on their concert performance. Students will review repeats and codas.

Spanish/ Latin

Spanish: Puopolo
  • Kinder
Students will be able to identify where they are from and name and describe buildings and houses in a city through observing, visualizing, and interpreting information from pages 54–55 of the textbook.
  • First Grade
Students will learn, identify, visualize, and name different pets and other animals by listening, reading and visualizing pages 114 and 115 from the textbook.
  • Second Grade
The students will learn to name the rooms of a house, identify where people are in a house, and they also describe their own house by observing, visualizing, and interpreting pages 46 - 49.

Latin: Fasenmyer
  • 3rd/4th Grade - Reviewing Chapter 7 & 9 and exit ticket!
  • 5th Grade - Reviewing Chapter 4 for final test on Wednesday, May 13/Thursday May 14.
  • 6th Grade - Continuing Chapter 7 of Lingua Latina, preparing for final test on Part 1 of Chapter 7.

PE

K-3: Walsh
  • K-2- Scholars will be working on kicking and soccer games.
  • 3rd- Scholars will continue to work on kickball games.
3-6: Boland
  • 3rd-6th grade: Student will be outside this week while they finish up kickball and try a new game called "switch ball".
