Art

K-3: Hibler

• Kinder students will practice drawing and cutting basic shapes. Draw with basic shape combinations
• 1st-3rd grade will complete a design on their portfolios for the year.

3-6: Carlson

• 3rd grade will begin our first unit, Line & Shape. As well as introduce Henri Matisse as the inspiration for our first project.
• 4th grade will begin our first unit, Line & Contour. We will complete exercises on our sketchbook & begin a rose drawing.
• 5th grade will be introduced to various self portrait artists and complete a baseline self portrait drawing.
• 6th grade will be introduced to artist, Ellsworth Kelly and begin our first drawing of a plant.

Music

Continue practicing procedures and proper standing/ sitting positions for Music.

Spanish/ Latin

Spanish: Puopolo

• Kindergarten: Students will learn how to introduce themselves to others and will also draw a picture of themselves in their Spanish workbook
• First Grade: Students will be able to use greetings, sing the goodbye song, introduce themselves to others, and learn the parts of a book.
• Second Grade: Students will visualize and visually interpret the gestures, body language, and phrases said by the characters on pages 12-16 of the textbook and follow along as the teacher goes through them.

Latin: Fasenmyer

• 3rd Grade - Begin Unit 1 of Level 1 from Latin Through Stories. Learning about animal names and colors.
• 4th Grade - Review: Read Chapter 1-2 of Minimus and do practice exercises.
• 5th Grade - Begin Reading Chapter 1 of Lingua Latina
• 6th Grade - Begin Review of Chapter 1 of Lingua Latina

PE

K-3: Walsh

• K- 3 scholars will continue to practice P.E. rules and class procedures. Scholars will also practice moving around the gym safely.
