Kinder students will be introduced to Pieter Brugel and view The Hunters in the Snow.
1st grade will be introduced to Vincent van Gogh and study his collection of Sunflowers.
2nd grade will view work by Henri Matisse and begin sketching the Still Life with Lemons.
3rd grade will continue adding color to their Matisse work.

3-6: Carlson

3rd grade will finish their Audobon drawing and begin a watercolor koi pond painting.
4th grade will begin a triangle value drawing using rulers.
5th grade will continue working on their Botticelli charcoal drawing.
6th grade will finish their value collage and begin a value drawing using a grid.

K-2: Abrego

All students will continue preparing for the winter concert on Friday, November 13th.

Kindergarten: The students will learn to internalize fast/slow through kinesthetic activities.

The students will learn to chant high and low through reading.

1st grade: The students will learn to analyze repertoire that contains a beat with no sound. Student will learn to write music with “so” and “mi”
2nd grade: The students will learn to label a pitch between me and do as re with solfege syllables and hand signs.

3rd grade: Students will demonstrate their memorization of their concert pieces and practice concert entry/exit procedures.
4th grade: Students will demonstrate their memorization of their concert pieces and practice concert entry/exit procedures.

Kindergarten, 1st and 2nd grade: The students will comprehend the meaning of the altar de Muertos and what each object placed in the altar means. In addition, they will be able to experience the traditions of the Mexican culture through the parade while seeing a real altar de Muertos and doing a skull coloring contest.
