Thank you to everyone for your amazing work at the Winter Concert! It was a roaring success! I am so proud of you and your beautiful singing. This week we will get to review our performance and think about our Glows and Grows from the event. We want the Spring Concert to be even better! We will finish up this semester review and reinforcing music reading skills and reviewing all the songs we have learned throughout the first semester and getting a preview of our Spring Concert repertoire. We will also spend time with our Composers of the Month.

Kindergarten
Kindergarteners will continue studying values as we view artwork by Henri Rousseau. Replicate a jungle scene from Rousseau.
First
First grade will continue exploring watercolors as they mix colors and create areas of interest by adding materials such as salt. What happened when salt was added to watercolor?
Second
Artists are exploring values and contrast as they create sketches on black paper.
Third
Third grade is completing their Art Show project, The Goldfish by Henri Matisse.

All grades will compete in "Conjugation Wars" (3&4) or "Declension Wars" (5&6) on Monday and Tuesday. Wednesday and Thursday we will learn about Saturnalia. Friday we play Euge.

-Internalize four sounds on a beat through kinesthetic activities.
