Quarter 2 Week 3 (Oct. 27-31)

 

Art

Hibler: Art K-3

• Kinder – students will review concepts of value/shading in art.
• 1st – students will begin their replicas of the Sunflowers by Vincent van Gogh.
• 2nd – students will learn about Henri Matisse and begin drawing a still life.
• 3rd –  begin the Goldfish by Matisse for their art show work.

Bissey: Art 3-6

• 3rd – Students will replicate a bird drawing by John James Audubon.

·       4th – Students will explore the work of Paul Klee.

·       5th – Students will replicate Durer’s Rhinoceros

·       6th -  Students will apply their knowledge of value in drawing classical sculptures.

Drama

All students are continuing preparations for the concert on November 14^th.

Please note this change:

            5:30 concert – Kinder, 1^st, and 2^nd grades

            7:15 concert – 3^rd, 4^th, 5^th, and 6^th grades

• 3rd – Students will be able to practice a few of the field day events coming up.
• 4^th - Students will be able to practice a few of the field day events coming up.
• 5th – Students will continue the flag football unit. They will also compete in the field day relay race to try to earn a spot on that team.
