K-3: Hibler

• Kinder students will learn about Pablo Picasso and practice abstract portraiture, practicing different types of lines and shapes.
• 1st grade will study warm and cool colors and create compositions with contrast.
• 2nd and 3rd grades will practice different types of lines and shapes, creating a pattern.

3-6: Carlson

• 3rd grade will cut out negative/positive shapes for their M.C. Escher project.
• 4th grade will finish Matisse drawing with colored pencil and begin a second artwork in watercolor paint.
• 5th grade will completing an abstract artwork in oil pastels
• 6th grade will be beginning their Wassily Kandinsky collage

Music

K-2: Abrego: All students will continue preparing for the Spring concert on Friday, May 1st.

• Kindergarten: The students will learn the presentation of notation of one and two sounds on a beat.
• 1st grade: The students will learn to label a pitch a skip below mi as do.  
• 2nd grade: The students will review conducting pattern of quadruple meter and learn the presentation of quadruple meter. The students will be introduced to the orchestra and instrument families.  

3-6: Andersen

• 3rd grade: Students will review their concert music and learn about concert etiquette.
• 4th grade: Students will review their concert music and learn about concert etiquette.
• 5th grade: Students will review their concert music and learn about concert etiquette.
• 6th grade: Students will review their concert music and learn about concert etiquette.

The students will be able to say where they are from, and name and describe buildings and houses in a city.

First Grade

The students will be able to describe people and events; they will also identify people and things using the verb SER.

Second Grade

The students will learn to name the rooms of a house, identify where people are in a house, and they also describe their own house by observing, visualizing, and interpreting pages 46 - 49.

• -2- Scholars will start to work on Volleyball skills.
• 3rd- Scholars will be working on Badminton skills.

3-6: Boland

• 3rd-6th grade - Students will learning and play kickball while outside this week. Additionally, they will also review and play our house capture the flag activity.
