Art
Hibler: Art K-3
- Kinder will practice cutting geometric shapes and gluing them to create a new object.
- First graders will complete their mosaic tiles by glueing the square foam tiles into place
- Second grade will complete a monoprint butterfly, then practice oil pastel blending techniques.
- Third grade will practice a sketch by Henri Matisse and begin using watercolors.
Welch: Art 3-6
- 3rd grade will begin their unit on contour lines.
- 4th and 5th grade are learning to draw references using a grid.
- 6th grade are working on their Elements of Art Chart.
Drama
Lucero: Drama 6
- Scholars will be reading Shakespeare's As You Like It and evaluating the plot, characters, and theme of the play.
Languages
Puopolo: Spanish K-2
- Kinder
- The students will learn the difference between senor and senora by looking at the pictures from page 18 of the textbook.
- First Grade
- The students will learn different ways to greet each other by practicing with the teacher and their classmates.
- Second Grade
- The students will learn about the places in a school and the rules they must follow by visualizing and interpreting pages 90-93 in the textbook through participation during question time.
Lee: Latin 3-6
- 3rd grade
- Students will learn the "Who Why How" chant (or "Who can learn Latin?")
- Students will learn the "Officium" chant
- Students will learn the Alphabetum Latinum song and spell words using the Latin names for letters
- Students will learn how to ask and answer "ut vales?" (how are you doing?) in Latin
- 4th grade
- Students will understand and respond to basic command words
- Students will learn:
- basic question words (-ne, ubi)
- basic respones (ita, non)
- location words (hic, illic)
- identity questions (esne?, utrum ... an)
- sum (I am) and es (you are)
- 5th and 6th grades

- The students will learn to develop tuneful singing, beat skills, listening skills, and learn song repertoire.
- 1st grade
- The students will learn the visual and aural presentation of rhythm such as quarter notes and eighth notes.
- 2nd grade
- The students will learn the visual awareness and aural presentation of 2/4 meter
Balmer: Music 3-6
- Third grade
- Students will review tempo markings and dynamics
- Students will name and write the line notes on the Treble Clef staff
- Students will continue work on Concert Selection #1
- Fourth grade
- Students will read and perform 16th note patterns
- Students will identify and draw line and space notes of the Treble Clef

- Fifth grade
- Students will identify notes on the Grand Staff and ledger lines
- Students will identify accidentals, half steps, whole steps and enharmonic notes on the keyboard

- To work strategically with others on a team
- To demonstrate the proper underhand and overhand throwing technique
Woods: PE 3-6
- Students will learn the basic skills and concepts necessary to play flag football.
- Skills will include running with the ball.
- Hand the ball without dropping-ball security, no fumbles.
- Defense needs to find proper angle of pursuit and pull flags.
- The offense needs to find the edge or time the cut back.
