Week 5 in music will bring continued study of our Composers of the Month and preparations for the Winter Concert. All students will begin learning their 2nd concert piece this week. Hand chime introduction will be delayed to Week 7, but rest assured that 5th graders will be performing a hand chime selection on our Winter Concert. Students are also working on note name identification and adding new rhythmic patterns to our vocabulary.

3rd and 4th
We begin chapter 2 of Minimus this week and learn about Latin adjectives. We will receive a new vocabulary list on Wednesday/Thursday (a new Quizlet set will come available then). We're also learning the Noun Case Bingo song this week (and reviewing Quis Quid Cur).
5th
We start chapter 2 of Cambridge Latin Course and begin learning about the Accusative Case. We'll review/learn the Nominative Song.
6th
We start chapter 2 of Lingua Latina per se illustrata and begin learning about the Genitive Case. We'll review/learn the Nominative Song and - a brand new one - the Genitive Song.
